Grantham Shotokan Karate Club was formed in 2003 by its senior instructor Sensei Geoff Dixon (4th Dan).  Originally known as 'Allington & Whatton Kenshinkan Karate Club, the club has gone from strength to strength with originally only a handful of members; it now has over 40 people registered.

We practise traditional Shotokan Karate in a safe and family-friendly environment.  We enter local and national competitions throughout the year and hold one day and residential courses.  The club is affiliated to the English Shotokan Alliance and Japan Karate-Do (England) International.

The club has been training in Foston Village Hall for two years now and has 'demonstrated' its activities at the annual summer Foston Fete for the past 2 to 3 years.  Our members range in age from 6 years upwards (our oldest being a spritely 71 years of age!).  Children and adults are always welcome, whether they are beginners or returning karateka.

Training sessions are as follows:-

Tuesday  Bottesford VC Hall 7pm-8.30pm All Grades
Sunday Allington Village Hall 5pm-6pm  Black and Brown Belts
